“When I read GM Igor's Opening Course, I was surprised...pleasantly surprised at the effective YET simple advice that he packed into the course.
I had a lot A-Ha moments. I realized my wrong approach in opening study. If it wasn't for this course, I wouldn't realize that I shouldn't study openings that will beat other amateurs before stepping into master level. Instead, I should study openings that will bring positions that will strengthen my understanding of the game.
He shows you how to learn openings in a very effective fashion and which openings I should put my focus on. He even included an opening repertoire for both sides - Black and White. Now, whenever I play, I'm confident about how I play the opening. Moreover, I'm always getting fun middlegame positions that teach me REAL chess!"

“My dad is a professional and experienced tournament chess player. He gave me a lot of chess opening books - some are easy, BUT many are fiendishly difficult. I tried to study them by myself and it brought nothing but frustration - I got lost in the labyrinth of information!
HOWEVER, after reading Igor Smirnov's "GrandMaster's Opening Laboratory", it's now clear to me which openings to choose! I really appreciate I. Smirnov's effort. He shared his opening secrets so those who are genuinely interested in chess could benefit greatly from it.
One thing I regret though - I haven't found this course earlier and wasted so much time on opening books that are filled with long reams of theory, which doesn't benefit me as a player. My advice: don't waste time and start learning openings the right way with The Grandmaster's Opening Laboratory!”

No shortcuts, no dubious lines, no exotic variations - the opening repertoire is sound and honest. Heck! You can play it until you reach the master level and even beyond.
After using it in last week's local and non-master tournament, I can confidently say that the opening leads to exciting chess positions where I know what to do. While good openings alone won't make me a master, having a sound opening repertoire coupled with good middlegame understanding (which I got from The Grandmaster's Secrets) should slowly BUT surely get me there!”
